===== Indebted =====

**Indebted** is an ability introduced in [[:Horizon_v1.0|v1.0]] of [[:horizon mons|Horizon 'Mons]]. It is the signature move of the [[:dawnian yamask|Dawnian Yamask]] line.
===== Effect =====
When a Pokémon with **Indebted** is hit by a contact move, the attacker's Ability is changed to **Indebted**. The attacker regains its original Ability once it is switched out, faints, or the battle ends.

If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a multistrike move that makes contact (such as [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Fury_Swipes_(move)|Fury Swipes]]), the attacking Pokémon's Ability will become **Indebted** after the first strike.

If a Pokémon with [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Rock_Head_(Ability)|Rock Head]] uses a recoil contact move on a Pokémon with **Indebted**, its Ability will become **Indebted**, then subsequently it will take recoil damage. If a Pokémon with [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Parental_Bond_(Ability)|Parental Bond]] uses a contact move on a Pokémon with **Indebted**, the Pokémon's Ability will become **Indebted** after the first strike, then the current move will continue to strike a second time regardless. If a Pokémon with [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Skill_Link_(Ability)|Skill Link]] uses a multistrike contact move on a Pokémon with **Indebted**, the Pokémon's Ability will become **Indebted** after the first strike, then the current move will continue to strike the maximum number of times regardless.
